I had recived these locks so when I have my wheelchair in the store I don't have to worry about y stuff because you can't get it off with these lock and I use them to put my cell and my hand held devices for my stimulaters on te railing to my bed so they don't get lost or my grandson can't play with them. I was very disappointed with the quality of these locks. The main problem is that the keys are very difficult to slide in and out. Even after sliding the key in an out a couple dozen times, my wife would still be unable to pull the key out of the locks. One of the keys cannot even be inserted into one of the locks! (I suppose I could try a hammer, but it would do me no good to have the key stuck in the lock.)



Once you get the key in, the locking mechanism turns fine and the locks otherwise appear to work. I'd recommend finding a higher quality lock.

You can't beat the Master lock for simple security. I secure my lock on tree stands with Master locks. I came back to my stand and someone tried to break this lock with a hammer. They really beat it up. Needless to say, they did not get the tree stand. When I unlocked the Master lock it came apart in two pieces, but it held on when it needed to. It saved me one hundred times what the lock cost. Thanks, Master lock!

I bought these specifically because they are supposed to be rustproof but what I found after about 6 weeks is the shackle is starting to rust on both locks. They are both installed on gates that are outside and sheltered by the roof overhang. Master Lock's policy requires you to mail the locks to them and they'll send replacements in 6-8 weeks but that's a long time to go without locks so I guess I'm out of luck.

I was very pleased with this lock's sturdiness and the ability to set the combination. I've never seen this model at a local retailer, and it flat-out trumps anything I've seen on the shelves.



Just to be clear I used it in an indoor storage facility that had space for two locks. The original lock was the standard issue circular lock with shrouded shackle. When I showed up with this one, the manager of the facility said wow. For what it's worth, it's a very attractive lock too that means business.



I own a wide variety of locks for storage lockers, trailers, bikes, etc, and locks like this live up to Master Lock's reputation.

I purchased the lock and cable to secure our jet skis to the dock at our second home. The cable was perfect size to go through the small loop on the front of the jet ski. Due to the design of the locking system and cabling it all worked out perfect and I really like the lock and how it works. We tried other type locks that would not work due to the small loop on the jet ski. The design gives a lot of flexibility in usage and the lock can be positioned anywhere along the cable. The lock seems to be very sturdy and it will be interesting to see how it holds up outside in the weather.

This is a great looking lock (IMO). It's easy to use and feels extremely sturdy. The keys are handy for times when you want an easy way of opening it, or are a little more concerned about someone seeing the combination (for example at the gym). In fact, that may be the only downside to me so far - the lock is so large and the numbers on the front are so visible that I feel someone watching from a short distance could catch my combination in a crowded environment. Just something to be careful and think about...



I will admit I wish Amazon let you choose what color you get - of the four colors, I would've been okay with 3 of them. I took the chance and sure enough got the one I wasn't so fond of.

I was so excited when I found this one! I love that I have the option between the combo and key. Between the one of them, I'll always be able to open ths lock. The combination turns smoothly unlike the old style ones. By the way, you can save your combo online at a secure website, [...], which is advertised on the instructions. This lock is a little big, like a half dome, but it's not ridiculous for a gym locker. I wanted the red one too, but got the teal, still a nice color. I am going to order another one for my friend so she don't have to borrow mine!
